The annual conference for the Association of Swedish IB Schools (ASIS) recently convened in Skellefteå, Sweden, in March, bringing together educators from across the country for two focused days. Hosted by Kanalskolan, which offers the Diploma Programme (DP), the event was a vital hub for professional learning, collaboration, and networking among IB World Schools. Attendees participated in job-alike meetings specific to all four IB programmes (PYP, MYP, DP, and CP) to share best practices and discuss programme development initiatives. Keynote speakers elevated the professional dialogue: Katrin Fox, IB World Schools Manager, delivered an impactful session on ensuring that professional learning directly benefits students and their learning outcomes. Additionally, Dr. Caroline Sims provided expertise on effective strategies for differentiating learning for highly able students. The conference succeeded in fostering a strong professional network dedicated to enhancing the quality of IB education throughout Sweden.
